WoW Enchanting Leveling Guide 1 - 525

This WoW Enchanting guide will show you the fastest and easiest way how to level your Enchanting skill up from 1 to 525. Updated for WoW patch 4.3.3
You will spend a lot of gold on this profession if you want to buy every materials from the Auction House. It depends on the realm economy, but can cost up to thousands of gold.
Enchanting really goes well with Tailoring, if you level Tailoring and Enchanting at the same time, you can disenchant most of the cloths you make, but it's good with any other crafting/gathering profession.

Approximate Materials Required for 1-525:
I don't recommend to buy everything before you get to that skill level where you need the materials.

Enchanting Leveling Guide 1 - 50

Before you start this Enchanting guide, first lets see which items gives what, when you disenchant it. Go to myDisenchanting Guide, there you can find all the information you need.
Visit any trainer in the main cities of old Azeroth - just ask a guard, and learn Apprentice Enchanting.
Check out my Enchanting guide 1-110. It's about leveling Enchanting from 1 to 110 with almost no cost at all.
I also recommend you to go to the Auction House right now and search for the following recipe: [Formula: Enchant Bracer - Greater Stamina]
You should put most enchants on a Vellum if you can afford it, then try to sell the enchant at the Auction House. You can buy [Enchanting Vellum] from the Enchanting Supply vendors near your trainer.

50 - 135

Learn Enchanting Journeyman.
  • 90-100
10 x [Enchant Bracer: Minor Stamina] - 30 Strange Dust
  • If the Strange Dust is cheap and the Greater Magic Essence is too expensive on your realm, you can make this Enchant up to 120.
  • 100-101
1 x [Runed Silver Rod] - 1 Silver Rod, 6 Strange Dust, 3 Greater Magic Essence, 1 Runed copper Rod

135 - 220

Learn Enchanting Expert.
  • 155-156
1 x [Runed Golden Rod] - 1 Golden Rod, 1 Iridescent Pearl, 2 Greater Astral Essence, 2 Soul Dust, 1 Runed Silver Rod
  • 156-185
40 x [Enchant Bracer - Lesser Strength] 80 Soul Dust
  • This one turns yellow at 165, however if 2 Soul Dust is a lot cheaper than 1 Lesser Mystic Essence, keep making these until 185. If it's not then at 165 switch to:
    165-185
20 x [Enchant Bracer: Spirit] - 20 Lesser Mystic Essence
  • 219-220
[Runed Truesilver Rod] 1 Truesilver Rod, 1 Black Pearl, 2 Greater Mystic Essence, 2 Vision Dust, 1 Runed Golden Rod

220 - 275

Learn Enchanting Artisan.
  • 250-260
10 x [Lesser Mana Oil] - 30 Dream Dust, 20 Purple Lotus, 10 Crystal Vial
Recipe sold by Kania at Silithus.
You can make [Enchanted Thorium Bar] as an alternative if you don't have Purple Lotus. The recipe will be yellow when you learn it and it turns green at 255, but it is pretty cheap to make. You can also just continue to make the previous recipe up to 265.
  • 265-299
40 x [Enchant Shield: Greater Stamina] - 200 Dream Dust
Recipe location - Watch out! This one binds when picked up. Don't make the mistake of trying to buy it with an alt and mail it. It's also a limited supply item, this means you have to wait if someone bought it before you.
  • 299-300
1 x [Runed Arcanite Rod] 1 Arcanite Rod, 10 Illusion Dust, 4 Greater Eternal Essence, 1 Runed Truesilver Rod, 2 Large Brilliant Shard -

300 - 350

  • 300-301
1 x [Runed Fel Iron Rod] 1 Fel Iron Rod, 4 Greater Eternal Essence, 6 Large Brilliant Shard, 1 Runed Arcanite Rod
  • 320-330
    12 x [Enchant Gloves - Assault] - 96 Arcane Dust
If Arcane Dust is expensive on your realm, or you don't want to level with a yellow recipe because it's based on luck how many skill points you gain, then you should make the following recipe:
    10 x [Enchant Chest - Major Spirit] - 20 Greater Planar Essence
  • 330-335
    5 x [Enchant Shield - Major Stamina] - 75 Arcane Dust
Recipe sold by Madame Ruby at Shattrath City. While you are here, you should also buy the next two recipe in the guide. Do not leave Outland until you bought them. Just click on the links below and see where they are. Superior Wizard Oil is also sold by Madame Ruby.
  • 335-340
5 x [Enchant Shield - Resilience] - 5 Large Prismatic Shard, 20 Lesser Planar Essence
There is an alternative really cheap method, but only Blood Elves can benefit from it. Due to their Racial Ability it allows them to gain ten free skill ups by converting a Large Prismatic Shard into three Small Prismatic Shards and back again. Only the conversion from one Large Prismatic Shard to three Small Prismatic Shards is effected by this. Therefore, you will only have the chance to gain skill ups half of the time (since the other half of the time you'll be converting back to three Small Prismatic Shards). This can make for a fairly lengthy session in gaining your ten free levels.
    What you need:
[Formula: Large Prismatic Shard] - Sold by these NPCS.
[Formula: Small Prismatic Shard] - You learn this from your trainer.
  • 340-350
15 x [Superior Wizard Oil] - 45 Arcane Dust, 15 Nightmare Vine, 15 Crystal Vial - Recipe location
This recipe is yellow already when you learn it, so you might need to make 14-16.
  • 350-351
1 x [Runed Adamantite Rod] - 1 Adamantite Rod. 8 Greater Planar Essence, 8 Large Prismatic Shard, 1 Primal Might, 1 Runed Fel Iron Rod

351 - 426

  • 375-376
1 x [Runed Eternium Rod] - 1 Eternium Rod, 6 Greater Planar Essence, 6 Arcane Dust, 1 Runed Adamantite Rod
  • 425-426
1 x [Runed Titanium Rod] - 1 Titanium Rod, 12 Infinite Dust, 4 Greater Cosmic Essence,2 Dream Shard, 1 Runed Eternium Rod

426 - 525

  • 455-460
    5 x [Enchant Gloves - Haste] - 20 Hypnotic Dust, 5 Lesser Celestial Essence
You can make this one up to 465 if you want to.
  • 485-490
5 x [Enchant Gloves - Greater Expertise] - 25 Hypnotic Dust, 10 Greater Celestial Essence
You can also start making the next recipe in the guide if you want to, and skip this part. It depends on the price of Greater Celestial Essence.
Check your Calendar in-game to see if the Darkmoon Faire is open, the event starts at 00:01 on the Sunday before the 1st Monday of each month.
You can gain +5 skill points by completing a single quest. Click here to read more about the quests.
  • 515-520
1 x [Runed Elementium Rod] - Runed Titanium Rod, 1 Elementium Rod, 10 Hypnotic Dust, 6 Heavenly Shard, 6 Greater Celestial Essence
Yes, 5 skill points for one craft.
You can buy this recipe in all major cities near your Enchanting Trainer, the NPC is labeled as "Enchanting Supplies". This does not include Dalaran and Shattrath.
I hope you liked this Enchanting technique that i use and i hope and wish that you get your enchanting to   525!

  • 100 - 107
    7 x [Silver Rod] - 7 Silver Bar, 14 Rough Grinding Stone
You might need to make more than 7. You can also skip this part and just make Runed Copper Belt if you don't have any Silver Bar.

125 - 200

Learn Blacksmithing Expert.
  • 125 - 140

Visit my Thorium Ore farming guide if you need places for farming Thorium.

You can also make [Titanium Rod] between 420-425 if you have Titanium Bars.

425 - 525

Visit your trainer and learn Blacksmithing Illustrious.
From here, you will see that sometimes you will craft an item which requires a bit more materials than the other one. The reason for this is that if you don't mass produce an item, it's easier to sell them (you should) at the Auction House for profit.
Farm your own ores by using my Obsidium Ore farming guide.
  • 425 - 455
    83 x [Folded Obsidium] - 166 Obsidium Bar
Stop making these when you reach 455, make more only if you need them. If you choose different recipes you might need less than 80.
  • 455 - 459
Make 4 from any recipe that requires 3 Folded Obsidium.
Almost all of the following items will give you multiple skill-ups per craft!
Visit my Elementium Ore farming guide if you want to farm the ores.
  • 494 - 500
    2 x [Stormforged Helm] - 40 Elementium Bar, 16 Volatile Earth
You can also make 2 x [Hardened Obsidium Helm] (8 Folded Obsidium, 30 Elementium, 12 Volatile Earth), but I think Elementium is easier to farm than Obsidium.
  • 500 - 512
    4 x [Redsteel Breastplate] - 60 Elementium Bar, 60 Volatile Earth
You can also buy the [Plans: Pyrium Weapon Chain] recipe for 20 Elementium Bar and make Weapon Chains up to 510 if Pyrium is cheap.

You will need 40 Elementium Bars and 2 Hardened Elementium Bar to buy the next recipes.

  • 239-240

    1 x [Philosopher's Stone] - 4 Iron Bar, 1 Black Vitriol, 4 Purple Lotus, 4 Firebloom

WoW Herbalism Leveling Guide 1 - 525

This WoW Herbalism guide will show you the fastest way how to level your Herbalism profession from 1 to 525. Updated for WoW patch 4.3.3
The guide includes map routes for the best zones filled with herbs. Herbalism goes well with Alchemy, you can use the herbs you pick and make potions, but Herbalism is good with any other profession. However if you want to level Alchemy,

Herbalism Leveling Guide 1 - 70

First, visit any trainer in the main cities of old Azeroth - just ask a guard, and learn Apprentice Herbalism.
Download the following addon: Gathermate2. This addon shows you every Mining node location on your map. The addon and the databse can be found here.
I recommend you to get the following enchant: [Enchant Gloves - Gatherer]. You can just buy any low level gloves from a vendor and enchant that one with this Enchant, equip the gloves when you level your herbalism. Check the Auction House and if there is any [Scroll of Enchant Gloves - Gatherer available, buy it.
Please also note these map images is from a website!
For the first 70 points, you can go to any starter zone, there is not much difference between them.
You will gather the following herbs: [Peacebloom][Silverleaf][Earthroot]

Tirisfal Glades

Tirisfal Glades Herbalism map

Elwynn Forest

Elwynn Forest Herbalism map

70 - 150 Herbalism

You will gather the following herbs: [Mageroyal][Briarthorn][Bruiseweed]
Learn Herbalism Journeyman then head to Hillsbrad Foothills. It's a horde only zone, this means it might be a bit harder to reach it for alliance players, and for low level players I recommend Darkshore.

Hillsbrad Foothills

Between 70-125, just follow the yellow lines. When you reach 125, you can enter the orange circle and gather Frozen Herbs.
Horde players can stay in this zone up to 160 or even a bit more if they want to because there is a herbalism trainer in Tarren Mill, so you can visit her at 150. The reason I recommend you stay here until 160 is because this way when you go to the next zones, you will be able to gather Khadgar's Whisker right away.

Hillsbard Foothills Herbalism map

Darkshore

The last few points between 130-150 will come a bit slowly.

150 - 230 Herbalism

Visit your trainer and learn Herbalism Expert.
You will gather the following herbs: [Kingsblood][Fadeleaf][Khadgar's Whisker][Goldthorn]
There is no Goldthorn at Western Plaguelands, go to Feralas if you want to farm it.
You won't be able to gather Khadgar's Whisker for the first 10 points until you reach 160, and all herbs will be green for the last 10-20 points. But it's still the fastest way if you to stay in these zones.
You will have to visit your trainer again when you reach 200.
If you have the Gatherer enchant on your gloves, you should leave when you reach 225, then you won't have to come back to these zones. With 225+5 skill you will be able to pick Sungrass in the next zones.

Feralas

Feralas Herbalism map

Western Plaguelands

Western Plaguelands Herbalism map

230 - 285 Herbalism

You will gather the following herb: [Sungrass]
In both of the zones below the most common herb will be [Sungrass]. I recommend Thousand Needles, because in Eastern Plaguelands there are a lot of [Khadgar's Whisker] which will be green to you and grey for the last few points. I also like the easy layout of Thousand Needles, you just go in a straight line and you can't miss the herbs, but don't get me wrong, Eastern Plaguelands is a really great alternative.

Thousand Needles

If you don't have a flying mount, then when you reach the end of the yellow line, you should turn back and run back to the starting point of the yellow line. You will also have to swim to Twilight Bulwark or Twilight Withering, else you can't really get to the place where the herbs are. (you can see these zones if you click on the map below)

Thousand Needles Herbalism map

Eastern Plaguelands

Eastern Plaguelands Herbalism map

285 - 325 Herbalism

You will gather the following herbs:
Swamp of Sorrows: [Golden Sansam][Sorrowmoss]
Visit your trainer and learn Herbalism Master.

Swamp of Sorrows

The whole zone is filled with herbs. You can find them everywhere, there is no farming route for this map. If you don't need the herbs for herbalism, you can also stay in Swamp of Sorrows until you reach 350 and skip Outland. But if you go to Outland you will get more expensive herbs.

Swamp of Sorrows Herbalism map

Felwood

Felwood herbalism map

325 - 350 Herbalism

You will gather the following herbs: [Felweed][Dreaming Glory][Terocone]
The orange circles means that you should fly around that zone because the herbs are spread all over inside them.

Terrokar Forest

Terrokar Forest Herbalism map

350 - 400 Herbalism

Learn Herbalism Grand Master. In Howling Fjord, you will mostly find [Goldclover], but there will be some[Tiger Lily] near the rivers and lakes, you won't be able to gather these until you reach 375 in Herbalism.

Howling Fjord

Howling Fjord map

400 - 425 Herbalism

Sholazar Basin is filled with Herbs. The most common herb is [Adder's Tongue], but you can also find some[Goldclover] and [Tiger Lily]. If you don't really care about selling the Herbs, you should stay in Sholazar Basin until you reach 450. All it takes is just one full circuit in the zone, assuming no one else is farming there.

Sholazar Basin

Howling Fjord map

425 - 475 Herbalism

Visit your trainer and learn Herbalism Illustrious.
You will gather [Cinderbloom].

Mount Hyjal

475 - 500 Herbalism

You should go to Deepholm and gather [Heartblossom] or you can stay in Mount Hyjal until you reach 500.

500 - 525 Herbalism

You will gather [Whiptail].

Uldum

I hope you liked this Herbalism leveling guide! Gz to 525!

This WoW Mining guide will show you the fastest way how to level your Mining profession up from 1 to 525. Updated for WoW patch 4.3.3

WoW Mining Leveling Guide 1 - 525

First, visit any trainer in the main cities of old Azeroth - just ask a guard, and learn Apprentice Mining.
Download the following addon: Gathermate2
This addon shows you every Mining node location on your map. The addon and the databse can be found here.
I recommend you to get the following enchant: [Enchant Gloves - Gatherer]. You can just buy any low level gloves from a vendor and enchant that one with this Enchant, equip the gloves when you level your mining.
Check the Auction House and if there is any [Scroll of Enchant Gloves - Gatherer] available, buy it.
Don't forget to turn on Find Minerals!

1 - 50

You will mine [Copper Ore] in this section.
Check out my other Mining leveling guide if you want to level mining with [Smelting] only. You can level mining a lot faster, but it will also cost you a lot more gold.
Actually, you should always smelt your ores to gain a few free skill-ups, the only exception is if you need the Ores for Jewelcrafting, then you shouldn't smelt them.

You will mine the following ores: [Tin Ore][Silver Ore]

Hillsbrad Foothills

Hillsbrad Foothills is just simply the best place to farm Tin. If you are an alliance player you should still go there, but Northern Stranglethorn is a great alternative. You will see a red zone on the map, that zone is filled with Tin, it's everywhere. When you mined all of it, just go outside of the zone where you can see the little yellowish arrows, mine a few Tin and head back to the red zone because it's most likely that the Tin Veins there are already respawned.

You will mine the following ores: [Mithril Ore][Truesilver Ore]
Felwood and Burning Steppes are the best places to farm because the mining route is just so simple in these two zones. Badlands is also a really good place, but I found a bit more Mithril in the other zones.

Felwood

Burning Steppes

Don't go into Dreadmaul Rock. There is plenty of Mithril at the corner of the map, you will just get dismounted if you go into the cave and it will slow you down.

You will mine [Thorium Ore].
Buy Thorium Ores and smelt them until you reach 215 (210 if you have the Mining Enchant on your gloves), the reason for this is that with 215 Mining skill, you will be able to mine Rich Thorium Veins, not just the small ones. You can actually smelt Thorium up to 275 if you want to, as you can see it in my smelting guide. Sell the Thorium Bars at the Auction House if you don't need them.
When you reach 275, you can go to Hellfire Peninsula and mine Fel Iron or you can stay in the zones listed below until you reach 300.

Sometimes you can get unlucky and there will be too many Rich Saronite Deposits, you can try Wintergasp if this happens. If the battle is on, you won't be able to use flying mount for a few minutes.

This is a really good place for level 80 players.
If you are level 85, you can check out my Savage Leather farming guide or my Blackened Dragonscale farming guide. Keep in mind that most of the places in the farming guides requires 490 Skinning.
You cannot farm at the place below if you have done all the quests at Hyjal, if this is the case then you should go to near Sulfuron Spire and farm Young Twilight Drakes, just click on the link and you will see the location. There are two drakes there and both have about 10-20 second respawn rate, this means if you kill them too fast you will have to wait a few seconds until they respawn. You can also go to Vashj'ir - Shimmering Expanse.

WoW Archaeology Guide

Archaeology is a secondary profession that was released in the latest expansion, Cataclysm. This WoW Archaeology guide will try to teach you the basics about this profession. You won't gain any real end-game benefits from Archaeology, most of the items you can get have no in-game power likepets, toys and mounts, there are also epic and rare armors even for level 85 players, but they won't be as good as an end-game Blacksmithing item for example. This profession is mostly for fun, you don't need to have Archaeology it's optional.
However, most of the armors and weapons you can get are bind to account, which is really cool. Just imagine your alt hitting level 85 and you can equip [Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds] right away (keep in mind, these are not Heirlooms, these will not scale with your character level). It's definately a good idea to level up Archaeology with at least one character.

Dig Sites

Once you train Archaeology, you will be able to see dig sites on your World Map, they look like little shovels. There are always 4 dig sites per continent, and it won't change on logout, server restart or anything, you have to dig one out to actually get a new dig site.(The four continents are: Eastern KingdomsKalimdorOutland andNorthrend.)
The number of zones and continents you can find dig sites depends on your Archaeology skill and your character level. A level 77 player will be able to see 16 dig sites 4 each continent (if his Archaeology skill is high enough). But a level 32 player can only see 8 maximum, 4 in Kalimdor and 4 in Eastern Kingdoms and in zones which are between level 25-35.
These dig sites and the objects you dig out are player-specific, you don't have to worry about competition. Nobody can see your nodes besides you.

Dig sites look like this

Survey and Fragments

You will also get a new ability called [Survey]. You can only use this ability when you are inside of a dig site. The Survey tool will spawn and point in the approximate direction of a fragment, there is a light that will indicate the distance you are from a fragment.
So how does this work in action? You just go to a dig site, use your [Survey] ability and then a little tripod will spawn with red, yellow or green light. First you check which direction it points to and you just move that way, if it's red you should mount up and run for a while and then use Survey again, when it's yellow you shouldn't move that much and if it's green it's probably within 40 yards. Just keep going to the direction the Survey tool points to, with practice you will find most of the artifacts within 3-4 Survey use.
When you discover your find, you'll get fragments specific to a particular race, there are 10 races, it depends on the zone and your Archaeology skill which one you will find. Each dig site can be searched 3 times before it despawns and a new site spawns.
Here is a list of the races you’ll be learning about in Archaeology:
  • 1-300 - Eastern Kingdoms/Kalimdor - Fossil, Night Elf, Troll, Dwarf
  • 300 - Outland: Draenei, Orc
  • 375 - Northrend: Nerubian, Vrykul
  • 450 - Uldum: Tol’vir

Survey Tool

Artifacts

When you loot your first fragment, you will start a research project. The number of fragments required for each artifact can vary from 25 to 150. When you have enough fragments, you can click the little Solve button to complete that Artifact. If you have excess fragments, it won't go to waste, they will start a new project. Unfortunately, you cannot control which research projects you get, it's random but obviously it's based on your Archaeology skill level.
So you might have to complete all of the research projects with a particular race until you get the one you wanted to in the first place. Not to mention, when you need Troll fragments for example and you get zero Troll dig sites for like an hour, it can be annoying.
Sometimes you can get [Troll Tablet][Highborne Scroll], [Dwarf Rune Stone], etc. when you loot a fragment at a dig site. You can use these to speed up your research a little bit. There is a slot that appears on some of the artifacts that you will be able to place one of these in, not every artifact but rare artifacts will often let you use two or three at once. The keystone will increase your fragment count by 12

Leveling Archaeology

You should read this post at mmo-champion.com. You will level Archaeology a lot faster if you use the listed addons.
The best way to level Archaeology is to Survey dig sites until you reach 50 skill point, meanwhile you save all of your fragments. When you reached 50 you will stop gaining skill-ups, so you can start solving Artifacts. You will get 5 skill points for any artifact you solve (15 for rare ones), no matter which race it’s for. It takes about 25-30 hours to level up Archaeology to 525.

WoW Inscription Leveling Guide 1 - 525

If you are milling your own herbs, you should buy only Cinderbloom and Stormvine first because those can can be milled at skill 425. Skill 450 also allows Azshara's Veil and Heartblossom to be milled and you will be able to mill Twilight Jasmine and Whiptail at 475.

Just to note, there is a lot of other Glyphs and Scroll at different skill ranges with the same number of materials needed, so where you see [Glyph of ...] for example, there you can choose between more recipes that is orange to you and requires the same number of materials.
First, visit any trainer in the main cities of old Azeroth - just ask a guard, and learn Inscription.
Do not forget that 1 [Blackfallow Ink] can be traded for any Ink at Ink traders! You can level Inscription by using only Blackfallow Ink if it is cheaper than the lower level herbs. Using Blackfallow Ink is also a lot faster.

If you mill your own herbs, you should probably need fewer Inks, because you will make a few [Ink of Sky] from your rare pigments between 275 - 285.

The recipe will be green, but it only requires Resilient Parchment to make, which you can buy from Inscription supply vendors. If you don't want to farm the technique, you should make the recipe below.

Go to Deepholm and kill these mobs until you get [Technique: Origami Rock]. Same as above. Skip this if you don't want to farm it.
2 x [Etched Horn] - 8 Inferno Ink, [Scavenged Dragon Horn]
Scavenged Dragon Horns are sold in Twilight Highlands by Una Kobuna in Dragonmaw Port for Horde and by Casandra Downs in Highbank for Alliance. These vendors are only available after the initial Twilight Highlands quests have been completed. The quests require at least level 84. These items are not bound when purchased, so you can buy them from other players or from the auction house.
Do not forget that 10 Blackfallow Ink can be traded for 1 Inferno Ink at Ink traders!

The cheapest method would be to make [Forged Documents] up to 520 or 525. It has a 24 hour cooldown (it always resets at 0:00), but the materials are really cheap compared to the other items that you can craft at this skill level. This way it will take up to around 15 days to level Inscription.
If you really want to reach 525 as fast as possible, make 4 [Divine Companion] or [Battle Tome] or[Dungeoneering Guide]

[Tattooed Eyeball] - 12 Inferno Ink, 36 Volatile Life, 12 Volatile Water, Preserved Ogre Eye

WoW Jewelcrafting Leveling Guide 1 -525

This WoW Jewelcrafting guide will show you the fastest and easiest way how to level your Jewelcrafting skill up from 1 to 525. Updated for WoW patch 4.3.3
Powerleveling your Jewelcrafting won't be cheap. Make sure you have enough gold, even if you have Mining. The best thing you can do is to try to sell the items you make, just put them on the Auction House. A lot of level 85 players are willing to buy low level items for their alt. If you can't sell something just try to disenchant it, and sell the shards/dust.

Approximate Materials Required for 1-525

IMPORTANT! Do not buy all of the materials at once! Jewelcrafting is really expensive to level, and on most servers the Auction House is screwed up because of the insanely high prices of low level Gems, Orbs and Bars. I usually have a few tips and alternative recipes so you can save some gold.
  • 100 Copper Bar
  • 20 Tigerseye or 20 Malachite
  • 120 Bronze Bar = 60 Copper Bar, 60 Tin Bar
  • 60 Shadowgem OR 20 Shadowgem and 20 Small Lustrous Pearl
  • 80 Heavy Stone
  • 30 Moss Agate / 60 Lesser Moonstone for Horde
  • 140 Mithril Bar
  • 80 Solid Stone
  • 25 Citrine
  • 15 Truesilver Bar
  • 5 Aquamarine
  • 50 Thorium Bar
  • 10 Star Ruby
  • 20 Large Opal
  • 7 Azerothian Diamond
  • 3 Blue Sapphire
  • 3 Essence of Undeath
  • 20 Huge Emerald
Burning Crusade
  • 55 green gems OR 40 and 15 Black Diamond - You can find a list of green gems here. Don't buy all of them from one kind because there might be some recipes which you don't have the reputation for to buy it, so you will have to choose other green gems. Just buy them when you get to that part of the Jewelcrafting guide.
  • 40 Adamantite Powder (200 Adamantite Ore)
  • 10 Primal Earth
  • 10 Adamantite Bar
Wrath of the Lich King
  • Buy around 70 from any of the following gems: Bloodstone, Chalcedony, Dark Jade, Huge Citrine, Shadow Crystal, Sun Crystal. Make sure to buy at least 5 Bloodstone, because you will need the Bloodstones when you reach 395.
  • 10 Crystallized Earth
  • 46 Eternal Earth OR 23 Eternal Earth and 23 Eternal Shadow
  • 5 Forest Emerald
  • 5 Titanium Bar
  • 5 Dream Shard
Cataclysm
  • Buy 45 from any of the following gems: Carnelian, Alicite, Jasper, Zephyrite. I did not include Hessonite and Nightstone in the list, because you will use them later on.
  • 16 Hessonite
  • 40 Nightstone
  • Note: 495-525 material list is not included, because you shouldn't buy all of them at once, but you will need around 30 Shadowspirit Diamonds and a lot more Uncommon Gems for the Fire Prism transmutes.

Jewelcrafting Leveling Guide 1 - 50

First, visit a trainer - just ask a guard, and learn Apprentice Jewelcrafting.

50 - 150

Learn Jewelcrafting Journeyman.
  • 50-80
    50 x [Bronze Setting] - 100 Bronze Bar
Save these, you will need them later.
  • 110-120
    10 x [Heavy Stone Statue] - 80 Heavy Stone
If Heavy Stone is cheap (usually it's not) make this one up to 130 if you want to.
  • 120-150
30 x [Pendant of the Agate Shield] - 30 Moss Agate, 30 Bronze Settings
If you prospect your own Ores, usually you will get a lot of [Lesser Moonstone] too, but even if you don't prospect the Ores, sometimes 2 Lesser Moonstone is cheaper than one Moss Agate. So get the recipe[Design: Amulet of the Moon] and use up all your Lesser Moonstone. This recipe turns yellow at 140, you might need to make more than 30 of these.
The design is sold by these NPCs.

150 - 200

Learn Jewelcrafting Expert.
  • 150-180
    45 x [Mithril Filigree] - 90 Mithril Bar
Save these, you will need 45 of them later.

200 - 300

Learn Jewelcrafting Artisan.
  • 200-220
If Citrine is expensive, you can continue to make [Engraved Truesilver Ring] up to around 210 or maybe more, you will also need a bit more Mithril Filigree then.
The recipe will go yellow at 210, so you might need to get more Citrine if you are unlucky. If you are lucky you will only need 20.
25 x [Citrine Ring of Rapid Healing] - 25 Citrine, 50 Mithril Bar
  • 225-250
    50 x [Thorium Setting] - 50 Thorium Bar
Stop making these at 250 and only make more if you need it, but you will need around 50.
  • 260-280
If Large Opal is expensive on your realm, like it cost twice as much as one Star Ruby, then you should continue to make [Ruby Pendant of Fire] up to 275. Or if you Prospected your own Ores, you will have a lot of Star Ruby and Azerothian Diamond left, use all of them.
    20 x [Simple Opal Ring] - 20 Large Opal, 20 Thorium Setting
If you reach 265 and you have a lot of Azerothian Diamond or if it's cheap, you can start to craft [Diamond Focus Ring]. Keep in mind that you will need 7 Azerothian Diamond for the next step.

300 - 350

Visit your trainer and learn Jewelcrafting Master.

If the Darkmoon Faire is open, make only 5 [Mercurial Adamantite] at the next step and then make more gems to reach 340 where you should make only 5 [Heavy Adamantite Ring] and you can complete your quest when you reach 345.
  • 340 - 350
You can continue to make the gems above if you didn't reach 350 by making the rings below.
    10 x [Heavy Adamantite Ring] - 10 Adamantite Bar, 10 Mercurial Adamantite

350 - 425

  • 350 - 395
Buy around 55 from any of the following gems. At 375, these recipes will turn to yellow so you might to buy more gems.
Cut any gem you want. Seriously, there are like 50 new green gem recipes, I won't list all of them. Go to your trainer, learn one and make that recipe around 55 times.
  • 420 - 425
Check the previous part if you don't have Titanium Bar.
    5 x [Dream Signet] - 5 Titanium Bar, 5 Dream Shard, 5 Forest Emerald

425 - 525

    20 x [Nightstone Choker] - 20 Jeweler's Setting, 40 Nightstone
Make more Hessonite Band if you have some Hessonite left. You can also start doing the Jewelcrafting Daily quests, you can read about this in the next step. If you are not rushing things, you can buy one rare gem cut and make that recipe up to 500.
  • 495 - 520
From this point, most of the recipes will be purchased from vendor. You need to do the Jewelcrafting daily quests if you want to buy any of these recipes. Horde players can find Marith Lazuria at Orgrimmar and Alliance players can find Isabel Jones in Stormwind. These NPCs start the daily quests.
Between 495-500, you could also make a few more Nightstone Choker, then you can make [Fire Prism] at 500. [Fire Prism] has a 20 hour cooldown, but it can contain [Chimera's Eye]. You should make [Fire Prism] every day.
In short, you either make Nightstone Choker between 495-500, or you do the daily quests for 4 days and buy a meta gem recipe then make that one up to 520.
You can also make any of the following items between 510-520.

  • 510-525
You can buy these recipes in all major cities near your Leatherworking Trainer, the NPC is labeled as "Leatherworking Supplies". This does not include Dalaran and Shattrath.
Every vendor recipe changes to yellow after 5 skill points, this means you're going to purchase a new recipe every 5 points. Each of these recipes gives you 2 skill points. You can use different recipes, because most of them use the same amount of materials, here is the path I did:
You will need 30 more Heavy Savage Leathers to buy the 3 recipes.

WoW Fishing Leveling Guide 1 - 525

This Fishing guide will show you the fastest and easiest way how to level Fishing from 1 to 525.Updated for WoW patch 4.3.3
You'll discover that it requires a lot of patience and time to build your skill level up to the maximum level. You will have to catch about 3000 fish to get from start to finish.
You can skill up your fishing from 1 to 525 in any fishable water. This means you can stand in Orgrimmar all day long and get skillups on your fishing at the same rate as you would in a higher level zone. What decides your skillups is the number of successful catches.
From level 1 to 75 you will get a skillpoint on pretty much every successful catch, this will decrease as your skill gets higher and from 300 to 525 you will need to do more than 10 successful catches for each skill point gained. The following equation gives a rough estimate:
If you are low on gold, I recommend you to try this Gold Making Guide, it can help you to make loads of gold.
If you are still leveling your character or you just started a new alt, I recommend you to use a leveling guide. You can level your character to level 85 in 5 days with this guide.

Fishing 1 - 525

Well, this fishing leveling guide will be pretty easy.
Check out my Fishing and Cooking leveling guide if you want to level fishing and cooking together. That guide is a lot more detailed.
  • First, visit any trainer in the main cities of old Azeroth - just ask a guard, and learn Fishing Apprentice.
  • Buy a Fishing Pole, it's sold by trade goods vendors and fishing suppliers.
  • Go to the nearest water, and fish from skill 1 to 525.
  • Do not forget to visit your fishing trainer when you reach skill 75, 150, 225, 375 and 450!
  • That's it. You can fish anywhere, even in zones where your fishing skill is too low. You will mostly catch junk, but your fishing skill will increase if you catch something, it does not matter if it's a fish or some junk.

WoW Cooking Leveling Guide 1 - 525

This WoW Cooking guide will show you the fastest way how to level your Cooking skill from 1 to 525. This cooking guide uses a lot of vendor bought recipes, so be prepared to travel around because you have to buy cooking recipes and farm meats, eggs etc. a lot. Updated for WoW patch 4.3.3
I recommend to pick up Cooking as soon as you can, because killing level 10 boars when you are level 85...it's not fun.

When you enter the instance, you can find Pusillin at the entrance, he is on the left side, then you just have to go and talk to him then follow him and talk to him again as soon as you catch up to him. At the end the imp will become hostile and you can kill him (Finally! Annoying little bastard!).
You can solo this instance if you are around level 70, but it's a lot easier for higher levels. The recipe binds when picked up, this means it's a bit harder to get it with a group at low level, I would not recommend it to get a group of low levels just for this one recipe, you can level Cooking faster with the other recipes.
The recipe uses [Runn Tum Tuber] as material, you can find these in [Warpwood Pods], they are all around in the instance (read the first comments on wowhead). I could get 25 of them in one run, which is enough to level Cooking to 300 with this one recipe.
I must also mention that you could use this recipe to level up your Cooking to 325, just make a few more instance runs. This way you won't have to do the quests at the next part.

  • 350 - 365
Get the Northern Cooking quest at Northrend and complete it. It requires 4 Chilled Meat. Completing this quest will teach you how to create [Northern Stew]
If you click on the link above and scroll down, you will see all the quest givers that gives you the Northern Cooking quest. For both Horde and Alliance.
    20 x [Northern Stew] - 20 Chilled Meat
  • 365 - 375
The Cooking trainer will teach you a lot of recipes, all of them will turn green at 382 and gray at 415. Any of these recipes are good for skilling up Cooking. I recommend Rhino Dogs if you want to farm the materials. There are a lot of Rhinos around Warsong Hold in Borean Tundra, and they respawn really quickly.
If you want to buy the materials, you should check the prices for Rhino Meat, Worm Meat and Fangtooth Herring. These are usually the cheapest ones.
  • 375 - 400
Making one Kungaloosh costs 66 silver, so if you find out that Rhino Dogs, Worm Meat or Fangtooth Herring are cheaper than that, buy those instead.
You have to finish a quest chain first. It starts with the quest called Some Make Lemonade, Some Make Liquor and ends with The Taste Test. After you completed the quest chain, go to Dalaran and find theWashed-Up Mage, he is in the underbelly (sewers). He will teach you how to make [Kungaloosh]. After that, go to the Dalaran Fruit Vendor and you can just buy the materials from him.
  • 400 - 415
Make that recipe what you made at the 365 - 375 part if you don't want to do the daily quests mentioned below. The recipe will be green which means you will not gain skill points for every craft, I only recommend this if you want to reach 525 as fast as possible.
The cooking recipe will be purchased with [Dalaran Cooking Awards] for this part, which are obtained by completing the daily cooking quest given by Katherine Lee (Alliance) or Awilo Lon'gomba (Horde)in Dalaran.
Choose one recipe from these, and make that until you reach 415. The recipes are sold by Derek Odds (Alliance) and Misensi (Horde). If you want to buy the materials, you should buy [Recipe: Critter Bites], Chilled Meat is usually the cheapest.
If you bought the recipe [Recipe: Critter Bites] and there are a lot of Chilled Meat and Northern Spices at the Auction House, you could try to make Critter Bites up to 450 or even 475, this way you will only need 6[Chef's Award] in total.
  • 415 - 430
15 x [Darkbrew Lager] - 30 Skin of Dwarven Stout, 15 Jug of Bourbon
You can actually make this one up to 440 if you want to. The reagents are sold by these vendors, don't buy them at the Auction House.

450 - 525

From this point, every recipe will be purchased with [Chef's Award], which are obtained by completing the daily cooking quest given by Marogg (Horde) or Robby Flay (Alliance). Once you have enough awards, you can visitShazdar (Horde) or Bario Matalli (Alliance) and buy new recipes. One recipe usually cost 3 [Chef's Award].
Check your Calendar in-game to see if the Darkmoon Faire is open, the event starts at 00:01 on the Sunday before the 1st Monday of each month.
You can gain +5 skill points by completing a single quest. Click here to read more about the quests.
